Basic Handyman / General Maintenance (5 days)

The purpose of the training is to train the participants to perform general maintenance in and around facilities and on equipment in a safe manner.  During training participants will learn the basics of general maintenance ; electrical maintenance; welding; plumbing ; bricklaying; plastering; woodworking and tool and material use, care and handling.

Advanced Handyman Skills Program (10 days)

This skills program will allow participants to perform skilled maintenance in and around facilities and on equipment in a safe manner. During training participants will learn how to apply health and safety to the work area; identify, inspect, use, maintain and care for engineering hand tools; maintain and repair plumbing systems; establish and prepare a painting work area; prepare and prime new surfaces; tile replacement and tile laying and about the impact of customer service on a business.

Hospitality Group Advanced Handyman Skills Program (10 days)

This skills program is specifically designed for people who work in the Hospitality maintenance sector. During training participants will learn patch-up and maintenance painting techniques and care of equipment and tools; wiring removable electrical plugs (for lights, televisions etc.); electrical safety and basic electrical fault finding; basic plumbing tasks  (cisterns, toilets; setting flushing; fitting and installing PVC Pipes; repairing leaks in PVC and steel systems; drain pipes; handling bad smells); understanding balancing valves (basic principles); tile replacement and tile laying and furniture maintenance and repair.
